The Orange Girls 2007 Season

The Orange Girls are pleased to announce their 2007 season, which examines the complicated and compelling relationship between women and power—creative power, political power, and the power to determine one’s own destiny. This year also marks our new role as the first resident company of the Anheuser-Busch Studio Theater at COCA. All performances will be held in the newly refurbished black box theater, beginning at 8pm on Fridays and Saturdays and 2 pm on Sundays. We will continue to offer free babysitting, now in the Early Education facilities of COCA, for our matinee patrons who make reservations by calling (314) 520-9557.

Standing On My Knees by John Olive

Directed by Deanna Jent

February 15th-25th and March 2nd-4th

An American Daughter by Wendy Wasserstein

Directed by Christopher Limber

July 12th-29th

Wasserstein’s wry satire about the nomination of a female U.S. surgeon general follows one woman’s struggle to retain her integrity amidst bickering political parties, reporters competing for headlines, and the rival demands of career and family.

Orange Girls are one of three St. Louis theatre companies producing Wendy Wasserstein plays in 2006-7.
