Orange Girls
While there are several St. Louis companies who
employ women and produce plays that examine the
roles of women, none do so as their primary purpose—that’s
where we come in. We envision a theater where
actors, directors, and designers of both genders
work together to create performances that garner
a whole new audience for women’s contributions
to the theatrical arts…
- where aspiring female artists can find
educational training and mentoring in a professional
and respectful environment
- where mothers (or fathers) can actually
come out to see a Sunday matinee because we offer
free babysitting services
- where the community has an opportunity
to attend a post-performance discussion or participate in a workshop
with acclaimed local artists and designers
- where the seats are filled with those who
typically do not have the time or financial resources
to attend a play and who leave us, marveling and
moved by the truths a woman’s vision has
to offer.
